07 Jan Women in Tyler 2026 Honorees Announced

The 2026 Judith K. Guthrie Legacy of Service Award winner is Vera Moore.

The nominations come after Women in Tyler announced the theme for this year’s luncheon, which will be “Women Laying the Foundation.” The organization has been honoring community members for over 20 years.

Women in Tyler 2026 co-chair Tracy Dews said this year’s honorees have helped pave the way for future generations.

“Some of them come from very humble backgrounds, have challenges that they’ve overcome,” Dews said. “That makes this group very special because they’re going in places that other people haven’t been before that we have seen. So, when we say laying the foundation, they’re charting the path for some young women to see that, ‘hey, we can do this, too.’”

The ceremony will take place March 26, 2026, at the Crosswalk Conference Center at Green Acres Baptist Church.

“The thing I want to take away from this, and I want other people to take away from this, is that there are people out here that genuinely love the community that you’re in, and we want to help,” added Dews. “For those that are working, we see you. We see you and we want to honor you.”
