The 3rd Annual Blind Ambition event was a hit once again this year! We’d like to thank everyone who attended the event and raised funds for Camp Lighthouse, our annual summer camp for blind and visually impaired teenagers.
The all-day event hosted by ETX Brewing Company, featured live music, vendor booths, and live remote radio from 96.1 FM. The weather was perfect as those in attendance enjoyed another batch of Blind Ambition beer, specially brewed for the annual event. Proceeds from the sale of ETX Brewing Company’s Blind Ambition beer support Camp Lighthouse.

Our team was onsite to share about our programs and services tailored to meet the needs of the blind community. Attendees experienced a blind immersion booth where simulation goggles are worn to experience different eye conditions.
Our staff and volunteers had a great time and can’t wait to do it all again next year! Stay tuned for details!
ABOUT CAMP LIGHTHOUSE
Summers should be full of fun, friends, and fearlessness! EastTexas Lighthouse for the Blind launched “Camp Lighthouse”to ensure blind and visually impaired high schoolers have an opportunity to safely experience a week of independence, confidence, and connections with friends like them.
During this five-day camp in June, students stay on campus atUT Tyler and participate in fun and educational activities around the area while making memories and creating lasting relationships.
Every Blind Ambition beer purchased will support “Camp Lighthouse” – Serving blind and visually impaired youth in East Texas. A donation of $20 or more also gets you a Blind Ambition t-shirt! The shirts are available while supplies last and can be picked up at the East Texas Lighthouse offices on Front Street.
